I’ve been coming to September 2-3 times a month for a few years now & I’ll probably never stop going. Consistent coffee and matcha (always delicious, especially when made by barista Sonora). Consistent food (also always delicious). The breakfast sandwich is a fave of mine, as well as the tomato soup with grilled cheese. I do love the pancakes and the halloumi toast as well! But really you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I find the prices are well worth the value. Only downside is the seating areas since it’s normally so packed. I recommend going on a weekday if you can or close to when they open on the weekend.
The pancakes and avocado toast were delicious. Probably the best avocado toast I ever had. Grilled cheese with tomato soup were great. The orange juice was fresh. Hot chocolate was good
Loved the vibe, food and coffee of this gem in Montreal. I had my first breakfast in Quebec here and I felt welcomed. My pancakes were full of maple syrup and the oat latte was just perfectly done (not too hot, not lukewarm - just on point). Music was good too

Scouting lineups from the previous week on Notre Dame,September Cafe was a must try. From Google description,this hip relaxed cafe is accurately described. it's nice to be 30 years older than the oldest person in the mosh pit line up. Waiting time is irrelevant when the vibe is right. Allexa at the cash is quintessential of the staff,smiling and receptive. Avo toast was excellent and my partner's Halloumi toast was even better. Salads look great Two lattes were made with the familiar flower design and hit the spot. Can't wait to go back again and get back into the mosh pit line up!! Additional; just tried Crispy Chicken Sandwich including house salad .. amazing
The BEST breakfast sandwich in Montreal! This is a spot where I make sure I always bring visiting friends to! Pretty affordable prices too with plenty of options. My favourites are the pancakes (SO fluffy & massive portion), breakfast sandwich, tomato soup & grilled cheese, halloumi toast and avocado toast. Coffee is decent and i love that they have freshly squeezed orange juice. There can be a line and the cafe does get pretty busy, making it difficult to find seats sometimes, but it is so worth the wait. I recommend going during the summertime, as there’s more seating in the backyard!
